7 hurt in Parañaque smash-up

MANILA, Philippines — Seven persons were injured after a wayward bus plowed 10 vehicles in Parañaque City on Thursday morning, Christmas Day.

Initial reports said that a Jethro bus, with a Cavite-Bulacan route, lost its brakes while speeding along Coastal Road around 8 a.m. 

The bus rammed several vehicles including a two vans, two cars, a pickup truck, a jeepney and a motorcycle, reports said.

The still unidentified bus driver escaped on foot after the accident.
