Man ties baby to bed

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Police are looking for a man who allegedly tied his nine-month-old baby to a bed and left her alone for two days in this city.

Jerry Iwag reportedly left his child without any food or milk in a room in Purok 3, Barangay 25-C.

Iwag’s neighbors said the baby had been crying for two days, prompting them to seek the help of barangay officials yesterday.

They were surprised to find the baby’s feet tied to the bed. The child was also full of mosquito and ant bites and was wet.

The baby was turned over to the local social welfare office.
