Dolphy grandson nabbed for drugs in Laguna - report

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested on Tuesday a grandson of the late King of Comedy Dolphy during a sting operation in Laguna.

Radio reports said that Rocco Quizon III, 32, son of Dolphy Quizon Jr., and his live-in partner Raquel Alcantara were nabbed by members of the Lumban Police Station during a buy-bust operation.

The reports said that an undercover police officer was able to transact with Quizon for the purchase of P6,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The suspects, however, brought only P500 worth of drugs during the buy-bust.

Aside from illegal drugs, authorities also recovered from the suspects various drug paraphernalia.

Reports said that Rocco has a string of criminal cases, including an attempted murder charge in 2009, in which he was able to post bail.
