Bataan cook wins P16-M lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines - A 31-year-old assistant cook in an eatery in Bataan has claimed the jackpot of the 6/49 Super Lotto draw on Aug. 19, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO acting chairman, said the man hit the winning combination 09-19-20-32-43-47 with a jackpot of P16 million.

He said the winner told him he had been betting on the same set of numbers for the last three years.

“He plans to buy a house and lot and finance the education of his siblings and open his own restaurant,” Rojas said.
