P12-M shabu seized in Cagayan raid

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two plastic bags of shabu with a street value of around P12 million were recently seized in the house of a former village watchman in Barangay Maddalero in Buguey, Cagayan, police said yesterday.

Chief Superintendent Miguel Laurel, who heads the Cagayan police, said the raid on Ernesto Soliven Ayonayon’s house was by virtue of a search warrant issued by Gattaran Municipal Trial Court Judge Marcelo Cabalbag.

Police also recovered a 9mm Glock pistol, a rifle grenade, several rounds of ammunition, a laptop and over P13,000 cash.
