P’sinan town exec stabbed dead

SAN JACINTO, Pangasinan, Philippines – This town’s planning and development officer was stabbed dead after buying medicine from a drug store along A.B. Fernandez Avenue in Dagupan City Thursday morning, police said.

The victim, Virgilio de Guzman, 62, had just come out of the drug store and was walking on the sidewalk when a certain Jorge Bauzon, 33, attacked him with a 10-inch kitchen knife.

Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, Dagupan City police chief, said Bauzon, a restaurant employee who resides in Barangay San Vicente here, was arrested, and probers suspect that personal grudge motivated him to kill De Guzman.
