1 dead, 6 hurt in SUV-bus collision

TUGUEGARAO CITY – A barangay councilman was killed while six of his relatives were hurt after their sport utility vehicle figured in a head-on collision with a Partas bus along the national highway in Bantay, Ilocos Sur yesterday.

Killed was Edgar Escobar of Laslasong Norte, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur. Injured were his relatives Mary Jane Escobar, an overseas Filipino worker from Singapore; Jocelyn Escobar Ursua, her husband Jose and son James; and Marissa Escobar Macahilas and husband Roel who are vacationing from Canada.
