Small-scale miner dead in Agusan landslide

BUTUAN CITY , Philippines   â€“ A small-scale miner was killed while three others suffered serious injuries in a landslide that struck a small-scale mining site in Barangay Tagmamarkay, Tubay, Agusan del Norte last Tuesday night, according to a belated report. 

The miners were preparing their dinner at their bunkhouse when soil and boulders cascaded down, killing Juvie Troba Namoc and injuring Vincent Aplan Jumawan, Marcelito Melecio Bernados, and Joven Pareja Laurente, the report said.
