Pagadian dad ambushed

ZAMBOANGA CITY , Philippines  â€“ A Pagadian City councilor survived a slay attempt while his driver was hurt early Wednesday morning, police said.

Councilor Rio Olimpio Lingating, 47, representative of the Subanen tribe in the Pagadian City council, was on his way to catch a flight to Davao City when he was ambushed. He was unharmed but his driver, Trifil Jay Macarial, 22, was hit by glass shards.
