Donna Cruz's hubby faces tax evasion raps

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Internal Revenue on Thursday sued the husband of singer-actress Donna Cruz regarding the P21.14 million tax evasion case.

In a complaint before the Department of Justice, the BIR said  Potenciano Sto. Domingo Larrazabal III, a Cebu-based opthalmologist, has failed to declare the appropriate tax returns from 2009 to 201.

The report added that Larrazabal only declared P4.72 million in his income tax returns in three years but the professional fees he received reached P29.14 million.

Besides misdeclaration, the BIR also said Larrazabal also failed to pay the right income tax and value-added tax. - Dennis Carcamo
