Court clears Judy Ann from tax evasion case

MANILA, Philippines - The Court of Tax Appeals has dismissed the P2.7 million tax evasion case filed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) against actress Judy Ann Santos.
 
In a 46-page decision, the court said that Santos only under declared her earnings in 2002.
 
It ordered the actress to pay the BIR P3.4-million in tax deficiency.
 
The BIR filed the tax evasion case against the actress after she failed to declare all her earnings from her movie projects and product endorsements in 2002.
