Tricycle-bus smashup kills 1, hurts 3 in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A tricycle driver lost his life on Rizal Day when a passenger bus hit his vehicle and ran over him along the Maharlika Highway in Daraga, Albay, police said.

Probers said Romeo Ramos 50, was bound for Iriga City when an Elavil bus rammed his tricycle from behind, hurling him off his vehicle.

Three others, two of them minors, were injured in the collision.

At least six people were killed in separate accidents along the national highway in Albay and Camarines Sur in the last week of December.
