No gun-carrying in Masbate City

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome has suspended gun-carrying privileges in Masbate City during the weeklong celebration of the Rodeo Masbateño Festival.

Bartolome said the six-day suspension of the permit to carry firearms outside residences until Saturday aims to ensure the peaceful and orderly celebration of the Rodeo Masbateño Festival and to keep it free from any firearms-related incidents.
