Noy to switch on Mindoro power plant

CALAPAN CITY – President Aquino will lead the inauguration this morning of a 2.1-megawatt hydroelectric power plant in San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro.

The Linao-Cawayan mini-hydro power plant, located in the northern part of Mindoro Island within the Linao-Cawayan River, is now fully operational, officials said.

The ceremonial switch-on though will be held at the compound of the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative in this city. – Juancho Mahusay, Delon Porcalla
