Granny dies after mistaking detergent as milk powder

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – An 88-year-old woman died after drinking detergent powder she mistook as powdered milk in Cagayan the other day.

Reports said the victim, Sufing Dangani, a resident of Barangay Bliss, Enrile town, went to her kitchen to make a glass of milk for herself. She, however, inadvertently used the detergent powder instead of the powdered milk.

A few hours later, she experienced excruciating pain and had to be rushed to the People’s General Hospital in Tuguegarao City where she died.
