Fire guts funeral home; teen killed

GUIGUINTO, Bulacan, Philippines – A fire razed a funeral parlor here on All Saints’ Day, leaving a 12-year-old boy dead and damage estimated at P6 million.

Fire Senior Inspector Carlos Estipular, municipal fire marshal, said the fire started at the kitchen of a house behind the De Jesus Funeral Home and quickly spread, reaching second alarm.

Killed in the blaze was 12-year-old Rusellmer Nicolas, son of Edwin Nicolas who owned the funeral home.
