Worker found dead in Palace

MANILA, Philippines - A 57-year-old government employee was found dead in the workers’ barracks in Malacañang yesterday morning.

Aircon technician Joseph Brano was about to wake

Redante Serrono, a mechanic of the Malacañang motor pool, at around 6 a.m. but the victim did not respond, said Police Officer 3 Bernardo Cayabyab.

He said Serrono was last seen alive watching television at around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Cayabyab said Serrono’s body bore no external injuries.
