MANILA, Philippines – Metro Rail Transit (MRT) commuters were stranded for a few minutes when a train stopped at the rail line’s Ortigas station yesterday morning.
The MRT Operation Center said the train stopped at around 6 a.m. as it encountered a “technical problem,” but did not elaborate.
The rail line resumed operations around four minutes later.
Neither Transportation and Communications Secretary Emilio Abaya nor MRT general manager Roman Buenafe responded when asked to comment on the incident.
