Fire breaks out in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines – Three houses were razed in a fire that broke out at Sitio All-Top in Barangay Merville, Parañaque City yesterday afternoon.

The blaze started in a two-story house owned by a certain Tito Vargas at past 2 p.m., Fire Inspector Wilson Tana of the city fire department said.

Tana said the flames quickly spread to two adjacent houses and reached the third alarm.  Responding firefighters put out the fire at 2:53 p.m.

Tana said no one died in the fire, contrary to online news.

Damage to property was estimated at P200,000.

Arson investigators said a faulty electrical connection caused the fire.
