Drug informant found dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines – A woman, reported to be an informant on drug pushers in her neighborhood, was found dead on Langaray street in Malabon City on Friday morning.

The woman, who had been shot in the right side of the head, was found at past 1 a.m. Police officers found a slug from a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene. No gun was found in the area.

She was described to be around 25 to 30 years old and clad in a black and red striped jacket.

The victim was last seen hanging out with her female friends. A witness told police the woman was known as a middleman in the local illegal drug trade.
