1 dead, 1 hurt in Quezon City shooting

MANILA, Philippines - A jobless woman was killed while her friend was wounded when an unidentified man shot them in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City Tuesday night.

Crizalyn Bacquilar died at the scene while Kristian Mark Cajala suffered wounds on his arms and chest and concerned citizens rushed him to the East Avenue Medical Center.

The assailant shot them as they were about to ride their motorcycle at the intersection of Sto. Niño and San Miguel streets, Police Officer 2 Jim Barayoga said.

Investigators recovered two bullet shells fired from a .45 caliber pistol and drug paraphernalia at the crime scene.
