P30-M shabu seized in Quezon City raid

MANILA, Philippines – Quezon City police officers seized 10 kilos of shabu, with a street value of P30 million, and arrested a Chinese and two Filipinos during a sting in Parañaque City yesterday morning.

Yong Han Cai, 41, of Cavite, was nabbed as he handed over the illegal drugs to undercover police officers, said Chief Inspector Enrico Figueroa, who heads the District Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group.

Jamil Lawi, 19, and Aira Raneses, 33, were also arrested.

Police officers also confiscated three mobile phones, an Isuzu Crosswind (ZPM-401) and a Honda vehicle (NRI-758) during the drug bust.

Figueroa said the arrest was a continuation of a drug sting on Nov. 25, during which police officers recovered three kilos of shabu.
