Tricycle driver shot dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - A 33-year-old tricycle driver was shot dead in Malabon over the weekend.

Police investigators are looking into illegal drug trade as possible motive for the killing of Sherwin Santiago.

Santiago was walking with his friend along Pilapil street in Barangay Tonsuya when two men shot him at close range at around 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The assailants fled after the attack, leaving the victim’s companion unharmed, police said.
