Cebu Pacific upgrades operations system

MANILA, Philippines - Budget carrier Cebu Pacific expects flight delays and cancellations today due to an upgrade of its operations system.

“We encountered problems in the course of the upgrade, which is preventing us from dispatching flights on time. We are working on normalizing our operations as soon as possible,” Cebu Pacific said yesterday.

The carrier cancelled 12 flights yesterday.

Cebu Pacific was arranging the re-accommodation of affected passengers on the soonest available flights.

The airline said passengers with travel dates from Oct. 1 to 8 may refund or rebook their flights within 30 days. – Louella Desiderio, Rudy Santos
