Businessman shot dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - A businessman was gunned down after attending a wake in Malabon City Sunday night.

Edison Jacinto, 57, and his 13-year-old son were in an owner-type jeepney on their way home in Barangay Tugatog when they were ambushed at past 10 p.m., city police chief Senior Superintendent Severino Abad Jr. said.

Jacinto was shot in the head and was declared dead on arrival at the MCU Hospital.

Police said the victim’s son jumped out of the vehicle and was unharmed.
