Student jumps to death from carpark building

MANILA, Philippines - An 18-year-old student allegedly jumped to his death from a carpark building at Legazpi Village in Makati City yesterday morning.

Liam Matamba was taken to the Makati Medical Center after jumping from the sixth floor of the Dela Rosa Carpark building at around 6:30 a.m. He died at around 1 p.m.

Matamba, a student of the British School Manila, may have committed suicide over personal problems, according to the Makati police’s criminal investigation division.

Investigators, however, are not ruling out the possibility of foul play.
