Fire destroys 6 houses in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines - A fire of unknown origin razed six houses in Pasig City Tuesday, destroying property estimated at P3 million and leaving some 20 families homeless.

The fire started at a house along 8th Flores street in Barangay Bagong Ilog at around 7 p.m. and reached third alarm before it was put out three hours later.

The affected families are temporarily housed at the barangay hall of Barangay Bagong Ilog, with the city government attending to their needs.

Arson probers are still trying to find out what caused the fire.
