Worker kills self at Malabon carnival

MANILA, Philippines - A worker was found dead, an apparent suicide, at one of the rides at a carnival in Malabon City Thursday.

Teddy Silam’s wrists had been slashed, according to police.  

His co-workers said Silam contracted tuberculosis and had been isolated from them during their activities and at mealtimes, investigators said. One co-worker said Silam had taken the isolation badly and withdrawn socially.
