Former transport group exec gunned down

MANILA, Philippines - A former spokesperson of a transport group was shot dead by two unidentified assailants in Quezon City Monday night.

Rogel Fernandez, 45, former national coordinator and spokesman of Pasang Masda, was alighting from his Mitsubishi Montero along Regalado Avenue when two men on a motorcycle approached him and shot him several times, according to a police report.

Two other men acted as lookouts and fled on foot after the shooting.
