Cook falls off bicycle, dies

MANILA, Philippines - A 30-year-old hotel cook died after falling off the bicycle he was riding on in Binondo, Manila yesterday.

Jaime Daguplo was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jose Abad Santos General Hospital.

Police said Daguplo worked as a cook at Crowne Prince Hotel.

Police Officer 2 Dennis Turla of the Manila Police District homicide section said the victim was on his way home when fell off his bicycle along Quintin Paredes street at 1:10 a.m.

The victim was reportedly drunk at the time of the accident.

A security guard rushed the victim to the nearest hospital but he did not make it.
