Man stabs grandson, 11

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested a man who allegedly stabbed his 11-year-old grandson in Navotas City Tuesday night.

Reynaldo Sison, of Yangco street in Navotas, was charged with attempted homicide in relation to child abuse, police said.

Sison’s son, Jeremiah, told police the suspect arrived home at 10 p.m. and without any provocation stabbed the boy.

Jeremiah said he grabbed his son and they ran outside to seek help from their neighbors.

Responding barangay tanods arrested Reynaldo and brought him to the police station.

Sison did not say why he stabbed his grandson.
