Woman killed by drinking buddy

MANILA, Philippines -  A 31-year-old woman was shot dead by her drinking buddy in Barangay Longos, Malabon City at past midnight yesterday.

Rodelia Paloma was drinking with a group along Halaan street when she figured in a fight with Arman Diaz just before 1 a.m.

It was not clear why Paloma fought with Diaz, who pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and shot her several times.

Diaz escaped after the shooting. Senior Inspector Arlito Franco said Diaz is out on bail on drug-related charges.
