DFA confirms Pinoy found dead at UAE airport

CEBU, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed yesterday that a Filipino was found hanging at the Fujairah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates over the weekend.

The Filipino was an employee at the airport and worked at the food distribution section’s service division, DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said.

The Philippines’ consulate in Dubai will assist in the repatriation of remains after the investigation is completed, he said. The man allegedly hanged himself with a rope and was dead by the time the police reached the scene, according to Hernandez.
