MANILA, Philippines - A policeman reportedly shot three persons, killing two, after he figured in a traffic altercation with a barangay official in Parañaque City yesterday.

Police Officer 1 Michael Davila, detailed with the Aviation Security Group, was driving his motorcycle to La Huerta Public Market at around 6:40 a.m. when barangay executive officer Armando Concepcion stopped him for reportedly entering a one-way street, according to a report reaching the Southern Police District.

An altercation erupted between Davila and Concepcion, allegedly ending with Davila firing his service pistol.

Concepcion, said the report, was hit and later died at the hospital. Jose Concepcion and Maria Rosario Loares were wounded in the shooting.

Davila was taken to the Dr. Florencio Bernabe Memorial Hospital for treatment of head wounds he sustained when he was attacked by residents following the shootings.

The Paranaque City police is still investigating the incident.
