Robinsons mall closed today

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas Center will remain closed until today following a fire that struck its toy section Tuesday night.

“We are temporarily closed to give way to clearing operations,” Robinsons Land Corp. said in a statement.

The mall will open tomorrow at 12 noon, it said.

Some P10 million worth of property was destroyed during the incident, Senior Fire Officer 3 Renato Gallego said.

Gallego said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

Arson probers said the fire broke out at 10:55 p.m. and lasted more than six hours. – Neil Jerome Morales, Reinir Padua
