Burglars steal cash, gadgets from church

MANILA, Philippines - A Christian church in Pasig City lost P76,000 in cash and equipment to burglars Saturday.

Employee Ronald Alan Cabanlit, 32, told police he reported for work at the Reign in Life Christian Ministries church on P. Burgos street in Barangay San Jose at around 7 p.m. Saturday and found the front door had been forced open.

Cabanlit reported his find to the church maintenance man, Ariel Adriano, 30, and together they went inside to investigate, Senior Police Officer 1 Edward Maylas said.

The items missing from the church are an LCD projector worth P40,000; a closed-circuit television camera, P29,000; P7,700 and personal belongings, Maylas said.
