Waiter tries to kill self after split with girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines - A waiter tried but failed to take his own life by stabbing himself in the neck after his girlfriend broke up with him Sunday night in Quezon City.

Danilo Lee Jr., 26, a waiter, is in stable condition at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center, police said.

SPO1 Victor Baquedqued said Lee was rushed to the hospital after he stabbed himself with a kitchen knife at around 7 p.m. at his house in Barangay San Roque, Cubao.
