Worker shot dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - A construction worker was shot dead while having a drinking spree with friends in Malabon City Thursday night, police said.

Victim Mark Quinlog, 22, was declared dead on arrival from a gunshot wound in the head at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center at around 11 p.m., said Inspector Joseph Gordovez.

The victim was allegedly shot by suspect Glendo Lominoque, also a construction worker. Gordovez said the suspect allegedly had a grudge with someone drinking with Quinlog.

Lominoque reportedly shot at the group and hit Quinlog instead of his target. The suspect fled after the shooting and remains at large.
