MTRCB to arrest holders of fake access cards

MANILA, Philippines - The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) warned yesterday that holders of fake deputy cards that they face arrest if they attempt to use the cards to enter cinemas for free.

MTRCB head Eugenio Villareal said at least 12 persons have been caught trying to enter movie houses in Quezon City malls using fake cards.

The MTRCB has alerted several cinema operators on the proliferation of fake cards. Villareal said genuine cards have security features.

The board issues the cards so a person deputized by the MTRCB can watch a movie for free in order to report violations of broadcast or movie standards.
