Man beaten up by mob

MANILA, Philippines - A 24-year-old man was beaten up by a mob after being caught stealing from a cotton factory gutted by a fire in Navotas City over the weekend.

Jonathan Fagcor, 24, suffered head and body injuries and was brought to the Navotas lying-in clinic for treatment. He will be charged with theft.

Residents were busy helping fire fighters put out the blaze that broke out at a cotton factory and shipyard in Barangay Tangos when they saw Fagcor stealing from the factory.

They called his attention, but Fagcor got angry and continued going in and out of the gutted building.

This prompted the residents to gang up on him.
