‘Cop’ nabbed for robbery, rape charged

MANILA, Philippines - A fake policeman wanted for robbing and raping two women in Camarin, Caloocan City was charged Wednesday.

Paolo Angelo Encabo was charged with theft, rape, and usurpation of authority charges before the city prosecutor’s office.

Encabo was arrested at a checkpoint Tuesday night when he was in police uniform but could not produce an identification card.

Chief Inspector Ronald Perilla said two women have complained a “short, stout and dark” man robbed and raped them in Urduja Subdivision.
