Tornado destroys 120 houses in QC

MANILA, Philippines - A tornado destroyed 120 houses in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City Sunday.

Village authorities said the tornado occurred at past 5 p.m., reportedly preceded by a drizzle and strong winds. Trees were uprooted and lampposts fell, cutting off the supply of electricity in the community.

No one was injured nor killed in the incident. Most of the houses affected by the tornado were built of light materials.
