Robbery eyed in Las Piñas engineer's slay

MANILA, Philippines - Investigators are looking into robbery as a possible motive for the killing of an engineer at the BF Resort Village in Las Piñas City Thursday night, an official said yesterday.

Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, city police chief, said the results of an initial investigation showed three men on two motorcycles shot Ermenio Ducao while he was driving his Isuzu Altera along BF Drive. He said the robbers took the victim’s gold necklace and wallet.

Sapitula said they are coordinating with the victim’s family to determine other possible motives and the identity of Ducao’s killers.
