Makati precinct chief sacked

MANILA, Philippines - A precinct commander in Makati City was removed from his post yesterday after an inspection team found no one manning the precinct.

Chief Inspector Adelaido Celario Jr. was replaced as Police Community Precinct 6 commander by Chief Inspector Dexter Castor. The PCP 6’s area of jurisdiction was named by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) as one of the 21 crime-prone areas in the metropolis.

“It seems that Celario lost control of his men who are also not reporting to work when he’s away,” said Chief Superintendent Juanito Vaño, NCRPO deputy chief for operations.
