Teen dies after being punched

MANILA, Philippines - A 14-year-old high school student in Makati City died after another boy reportedly punched him Thursday morning.

According to Makati City police chief Superintendent Jaime Santos, Paul Balili died after he hit his head on the concrete floor of the  Benigno Aquino High School in Barangay Comembo.

Reports reaching the police said the victim was going down from the second floor of the school at about 9 a.m. when he was met by the suspect, reportedly a second-year high student, and they figured in a fistfight.

Santos said the unidentified suspect was later taken to the custody of the Makati social welfare department.
