Police asset gunned down

MANILA, Philippines - A police informer was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Sampaloc, Manila on Tuesday.

SPO2 Ronald Gallo of the Manila Police District homicide section identified the victim as Hilario Constantino, 40, of Paltok street, Sampaloc.

Constantino died from a gunshot wound in the head, Gallo said.

His body was brought to Saint Mark Funeral for autopsy and safekeeping.

Police said the victim was standing near an eatery on Buenas Aires street in Sampaloc when the suspects arrived and shot him.

The suspects escaped after the shooting.

Investigators are looking into reports that Cons­tantino has received a death threat prior to the killing.
