Parañaque rob suspect nabbed

MANILA, Philippines - Police yesterday arrested a robber who punched his 34-year-old victim in the stomach in Parañaque City.

Police said victim Janet Paloma was walking along a footbridge in Bicutan on her way home when Jiovannie Gaco and a still unidentified companion punched her twice in the stomach, grabbed her bag and fled.

Paloma reported the incident to Police Officers 1 Carlito Mancel and Elpidio Rapadas of the Regional Public Safety Batallion, who were able to arrest Gaco.
