Road mishap kills student, injures 9 others

MANILA, Philippines - A student of the Philippine Maritime Institute was killed and nine others were injured in a road mishap in Quezon City Sunday dawn.

Eighteen-year old Brille Jason Juan of City Land Condominium, Quezon City was pronounced dead on arrival at the East Avenue Medical Center while nine other students aged 17 to 21 were seriously hurt.

Reports said an Anfra van with plate number ULF 586 that the victims were riding rammed against the railing of the Santolan flyover along EDSA. Traffic investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
