PDEA seizes ecstasy at post office

- Reinir Padua -

MANILA, Philippines -  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel seized Friday a parcel containing the illegal drug ecstasy sent to a post office branch along NIA Road in Quezon City, a PDEA official said yesterday.

PDEA Director General Jose Gutierrez Jr. said Nena Perez sent the package from Vancouver, Canada and it was supposed to be claimed at the post office by Jesse Johnson, alias “Jovit Calaminos Reformoso,” 26, of Project 6.

PDEA and Bureau of Customs personnel confiscated a white envelope that contained sachets of a beige powder that tested positive for ecstasy at the PDEA’s laboratory.

Gutierrez said Johnson will be charged with importing dangerous drugs.
