GK annual expo today

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) yesterday released a traffic advisory as Gawad Kalinga (GK) holds its Annual Expo celebration today.

QCPD director Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele told the public to expect heavy traffic and avoid passing through the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) from 1 p.m. onwards.

At 1 p.m., expo participants will converge at Commonwealth/Central Avenue, Visayas Avenue (fronting McDonald’s), North Avenue corner Agham Road, Quezon Avenue (fronting Hi-top Supermart) and East Avenue (fronting SSS) then hold a parade around the QMC.

A mass will be held following the parade. Mantele said President Aquino and Vice President Jejomar Binay are expected to attend the event as guests of honor.
